Crissy’s amazing card features a rollicking, rolling group of rabbits in a lovely green field. To create her scene she stamped and colored her bunnies with Copic Markers and then used No Fuss coordinating masks to mask the images and then created her background scene. I can’t wait for Spring to get here, it’s been a very cold Winter with snow and ice and I’m ready to see some flowers bloom and enjoy some warmer weather! Another thing I love to see in the Spring are rabbits, we have a family of bunnies that live near us and I love seeing the babies running around playing in the Springtime. Rabbits are perfect this time of year (and really any time of year) to include on your handmade cards, of course we use them on Easter and Spring cards but you can also include sweet fluffy bunnies on birthday, anniversary, thinking of you cards and so much more, they work on masculine and feminine card styles, they can be realistic or silly and whimsical. Stacie’s sweet card is perfect for Mother’s Day, an expecting Mom or a birthday. These rabbits are all enjoying a day at the spa with stamped scenes over a stenciled purple brick wall on a die cut panel with a layer of dry embossing on the base. Take a closer peek at the Mama Elephant blog.
Elena’s adorable card uses new dies from Lawn Fawn. She’s dressed her bunny in a duck costume, placing it over layered die cut ovals with a scalloped edge. She cut the costume and oval layers from tiny petite printed pattern papers and added a basket weave stencil on the card base along with a stamped banner. Learn more at the Lawn Fawn blog.
This beautiful Spring card started with a layered stenciled background with bold colors of ink pads with a layer of vellum over top, trimmed shorter to soften the pattern. Flower dies were cut and ink blended to form a bouquet and a stamped rabbit was colored with Copics and placed with a stamped and die cut sentiment over the flowers. Debbie’s darling card has a big bunny mug die cut from pink cardstocks, filled with tea and glittering sugar cubes. Her rabbit is sitting on a stamped and die cut sentiment banner and surrounded with lots of die cut Easter eggs and carrots. The checked background was stenciled and cut with a zig zig edge. Heather C.’s card is filled with sweet Strawberries and sweet bunny rabbits for a yummy birthday card. She die cut a ticket tag and stamped the cake on the top and sentiment on the bottom section, adding some small rabbits peeking out and sitting, coloring everything in with alcohol markers. Try using pre-printed elements like Maureen did here for her super cute birthday shaker card. There’s floral pattern paper for the base with a die cut scalloped frame over a printed garden rabbit scene for the shaker element, filled with tiny sprinkles and decorated with chipboard flags and a bunny. This beautiful botanical bunny card was made with layering stencils with green and purple inks (swap out the ink colors to make a rainbow of rabbits). Libby used dies to create her card using lots of pastel cardstocks for soft colors with pops of silver for some truck parts. This spectacular Spring card will put a smile on anyone’s face! Tina designed an egg-cellent egg shaped card using dies that leave positive and negative flowers and vines. Behind the open floral shapes she ink blended and then also inked the flowers, adding gems, and used them to decorate the card. How stinkin’ adorable is this peek a boo bunny card from Lisa!? She stamped a row of flowers and added a couple of rows of grass cut from kraft cardstock over top, she used foam tape on the edges to pop it up over the pattern paper panels. She stamped and colored her bunny with Copic Markers, adding him to a tied tag and tucking it into the pocket she created for a fantastic interactive idea. Arjita used a trendy die cut arch shape to frame her wonderful rabbit who’s in front of a subtle stenciled brick background.
