What would make a child happier than a Holiday trip to Disney!? This darling design from Brianna features Mickey and Minnie Mouse with lots of rosettes, banners, sentiments, Holly, hearts and buttons in retro colors of soft red, teal and greens. Learn more at the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.
Seeing happy kids at Christmas is one of the best things about the Holiday season! If you’ve got kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews or any kids in your life I’m sure you take loads of photos of them especially this time of year. Today we’ll check out some fabulously cute, fun and sweet Christmas layouts you can create for all those amazing kids.
Of course you can’t create kids Christmas layouts without including a trip to visit Santa. The rainbow striped pattern paper background brings lots of color and the stitching adds texture. I love how Karlla cut the circle from the center and placed the photo behind, adding loads of embellishments! Learn more at the Pinkfresh Studio blog.
This sweet layout from Brenda has classic red and green colors with a wonderful stenciled border on two sides, framing the two photos. A long greenery border and some jingle bells have been included too. Use your colored ink pads and a blending brush for easy stenciling. Find directions at the Creative Memories blog.
These adorable black and white photos really stand out among all the bright and cheery colors on this jolly layout. Brianna has created a row of colorful trees with a HoHoHo title that uses ornament for the “O”s. There’s also Santa, a bag of toys and banner with birds. Notice how the striped pattern paper matches all the colors for a cohesive page. Learn more at the Doodlebug blog.
I adore this new trend of creating shelves on a layout, just add thin borders and place items on them, it’s so cute! Paige created three Christmas shelves adding cute Holiday decor sitting on them as well as items hanging from them, with the photos tucked in too of course. Take a closer look at the Paige Taylor Evans blog.
As a kid I loved staying inside on a cold day playing games, I also got lots of them as gifts for Christmas. If your kids love game night turn that into a fun layout like this one from Taina. She used cute stickers on a double page notebook layout in soft blues with a cute artic fox and lots of blustery snowflakes. Visit the Cocoa Daisy blog for more details.
Rona’s festive layout has lots of stars cut from different pattern paper but she took them to the next level by adding twine, sewing and thread. Some stars have traditional stitching but others have brads on the corners which she wrapped with the twine, so clever! Watch her process video at the Pretty Little Studio blog.
Get your kids and teens in the kitchen to help out with the Holiday baking like Erin did on her yummy layout. She’s included lots of fun stamped and die cut baking items (the tray of Gingerbread men is too cute!) with die cut greenery, pattern paper layers and glitter paper for the base. I came across her idea on her Crafty Concepts with Erin Instagram page.
Gloria created an awesome border of hanging ornament along the top half of her darling design. Using printed die cut shapes she added sewing around the edges as well as for the string they hang from. There’s also room for some journaling, a large title and a few extra accents as well. Find all the details at the Simple Stories blog.
This adorable digital layout captures all the joy of a child at Christmas, check out that smile! Down the layout are vertical rows of pattern papers, stitching, words and scallops, all flat of course because it’s digital. Over top are Santa, an elf, presents and more. You can really add loads of layers with no bulk with digis designs. I spotted this idea at The Lilypad.
Bundle up the kids and head outside for a snow day photo shoot. This lovely design has a grid of pattern paper that also includes a square photo along with simple paper woven borders. Both of these are a great way to use of scraps of pretty papers. Take a closer look at Stampin’ Up.
This super cute kiddo is helping decorate the tree on an amazing layout. This design has lots of large shapes, different die cut border edges and great embellishments with hanging ornaments, a Santa tag, Christmas tree and several sentiments. I spotted this idea on the Echo Park Paper Instagram account.
Wishing you and your kids a wonderful Christmas Season!
-Heather
