Four Seasons Cross Stitch Patterns – Cross-Stitch

I

don’t know why this cross stitch pattern delights me so much, but it does, so I have to share it with you.

Happy Little Jam Jars from Stitchrovia is exactly what it sounds like: a set of stitched jam jars of different sizes, colors and flavors. In the interest of full disclosure there’s a bottle of honey, too.

They all have super cute little vintage labels and textured lids, and there’s a spoon poking out of the top of the pear preserves.

It’s just so sweet I can hardly stand it.

My kitchen is not remotely country in style, but there’s still a part of me that wants to stitch it and hang it in my kitchen.

The full design is 120 by 180 stitches, which comes out to 8.6 by 12.9 inches, or 21.8 by 32.8 cm, if you use 14 count fabric (the pattern description includes 16 and 18 count as well if you want to make yours a little smaller.

It uses 26 colors and is worked in full cross stitches and back stitch.

But what I also love about this pattern is that you could easily stitch individual jam jars if you wanted to use them on different projects.

A single jar would be cute by itself as a greeting card. Stitch just a few, together or in individual frames, to decorate your breakfast nook. That little cherry jam jar would be adorable stitched on an apron. Once you get thinking about it I’m sure you’ll come up with all sorts of uses.

And while it is a lot of colors, there are a lot of blocks of colors and most of the jams are a single color inside their jars. So don’t let the number of colors involved intimidate you! Just take it one jar at a time and you’ll soon have a whole pantry’s worth of stitched jam jars.
